The club shall be called "32A Model Railway Club"
The club shall be run by the members through an elected committee of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer
The maximum spend of club money without approval of the treasurer is £50.
Club members will pay an annual membership subscription which shall be decided anually by the comittee. The subscription shall be paid by 12 equal/monthly payments not later than 28th of each month by standing order; or by cash with the prior agreement of the treasurer.
There shall be a special junior section of the club, whereby children aged 6 to 16 years may attend with their parent or guardian (who shall take full responsibility for them). A reduced yearly charge shall be made for these members, who shall have no other rights within the club. It is imperative that at least one Committee Member should be made aware of the attendance or otherwise of Junior Members immediately prior to each session to facilitate any necessary arrangements.
Any member who becomes in excess of three months in arrears in his subscription shall forfeit his right to membership unless prior arrangement has been made with the Teasurer.
The club shall meet between the hours of 11am and 4pm on each Saturday.
There must be a minimum of 2 members at any one meeting
A charge of £2 will be made at each meeting for tea / coffee and biscuits
Club members will ensure that the premises are kept clean and tidy
New members will be enrolled in the club on a 3 months probationary period, which may be extended at the discretion of the committee. At the end of the probationary period the new member shall be elected to full membership only with the 100% approval of the members in a secret ballot
Any action which threatens the existence or survival of the club or drastically alters its aims or direction shall only be taken with the full consent of all members
Matters affecting the day to day running of the club will be decided by a majority vote of those members present at the meeting called to discuss said matters, a minimum of one weeks notice being given of said meeting. Disputes between members and complaints will be resolved in a similar manner, representation having first been made to the Chairman
Any materials, tools and equipment donated to the club shall become the property of the club in perpetuity unless agreed otherwise at the outset
On leaving the premises, members must ensure that all lights and sockets are switched off (including charging equipment). That all heaters are switched off except those specifically set on a timer, and that all doors are locked and secure.
Any damage to the premises, or to club equipment, and any injury to any person whilst on the premises must be reported to a committee member at the first available opportunity
Members must not do anything whist on the premises likely to cause damage to the premises, club equipment or surrounding premises; nor take such actions as to cause injury, annoyance, disturbance, inconvenience or nuisance to other club members or the occupants of surrounding premises.
